He shares his name with an Olympic legend but Sunderland's very own Bolt, has been given a chance to represent England.
David Bolt's living in Silksworth where he plays Bowls at his local green.
He's now preparing for a trip down under, after being selected for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia, as part of the England Lawn Bowls team.
The 39 year old tells Sun FM Sport he's overjoyed.
David's also hoping to encourage others to take up his sport, which he feels has a stigma of being perceived as a sport for the elderly.
He says the discipline has had a problem with modernising itself against a backdrop of a lack of funding.
David has been playing sport since the age of three when he picked up a snooker cue and was introduced to Lawn Bowls by his dad before he later became a recipient of an international cap at the Under 25 level.
He tells Sun FM he admires how the sport is run in Australia.
