Sunderland AFC reveal a list of players going and staying

Sunderland have confirmed their retained player list for the up-coming League One season.
It reveals the players currently under contract with the Black Cats, or who have contract offers pending.
The contracts of Billy Jones, Marc Wilson and Kazenga LuaLua, expire on the 30th of this month, and they'll be leaving the club.
Following the Captain John O'Shea through the exit door.
John O’Shea leave Wearside after seven years at the Stadium of Light.
He joined in 2011 from Manchester United and made 256 appearances, in the role of captain for much of that time.
He goes with the club’s leading Premier League appearances.
Speaking about John’s departure, manager Jack Ross said:
“Whilst I didn’t work directly with John, everyone at the club speaks so highly of him, both as a player and a man. Coming from Manchester United, where he was schooled by Sir Alex, has clearly shaped him into the consummate professional, on and off the field. The positive influence he had on this football club will be long remembered."
“On behalf of everyone at Sunderland AFC, I wish John every success in whatever he chooses to do in the future and he will always remain a special part of the club”.
Young players Tom Beadling, Jean-Yves Poame, Josh Robson, James Talbot and Daniel Wright will also depart.

Fabio BORINI (permanent move to AC Milan is formalised on July 1st, 2018.)
