Richard Hardie Unveils New Fiat And Abarth Centre

Family-owned Richard Hardie has chosen to invest heavily in its Wearside centre, in order to increase customer offerings and create more job opportunities in the area.

Those now visiting the Trafford Road centre will be able to purchase the newest Fiat,Abarth and Peugeot models, as well as a range of used makes and models.

The arrival of the Italian cars to the premises, will generate the need for the company to hire additional Sales Executives, as well as offering workshop opportunities to both Fiat and Abarth specialists.

Branch manager, Glenn Bowater, has over 20 years’ experience in the motor industry and as the previous manager at Silverlink, boasts a vast knowledge of Fiat and Abarth, as well as other manufacturers.

He said: “We are entering a new era here at Richard Hardie Sunderland and we’re now a multi franchise centre, with lots of pre-loved stock.

“The focus for our dealership is based on customers’ high expectations for product, service and the brands we are offering.”

Sales Executive Dom Phillips added: “It’s a very exciting time for Richard Hardie but also the region.

“Not only is the company benefiting from having three manufacturers, but so is Sunderland and it’s about time the city had a new Fiat and Abarth dealership, as they are fantastic brands.”

In keeping with the Fiat and Abarth Italian sense of style, the interior of the suave and stylish new look centre includes modern tiles and desks, with new point of sale.

To ensure complete customer service, all staff will receive training from Fiat and will be joined by an experienced senior sales executive from Richard Hardie’s Silverlink site.

An official launch event will took place on Saturday September 10th, to mark the opening of the showroom, where customers and clients were invited to test drive the cars and celebrate the arrival of the Fiat 124 Spider and Tipo.

The Trafford Road Showroom is open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
